EDGE Fall Beauty Picks by moi! Enjoy!

Check out this video that I shot and edited for my MUA mentor @AJCRIMSON! His foundations are amazing!! Make sure you preorder them now (official launch is June 20, 2012)! ;)

PS. AJ’s new foundations are geared towards women of color! How awesome is that? #yass ;)

Happy 1st of the month everyone! It’s the middle of the year, and I’m knocking my 2012 goals list out of the park… And with that being said, I’m really excited to share my first published work with you all! :)

As you know, I’ve been writing about beauty for a while… and now I’ve finally had the chance to actually do makeup for a magazine (actually a few, but the others have not been released yet)! I’ve attached two of my favorite photos from my shoot with EDGE Magazine for their June issue: One photo is from our shoot with my bruh Kevin McCall who was also on the cover (Singer/Rapper/Producer), and the other is a sexy/glam look on actress Reagan Gomez.

Check it out and let me know your thoughts! I’m really big on feedback - even if you aren’t a professional makeup artist, I try to find a way to grow from everyone around me in what I do.

FYI - The magazine comes in both digital and print… But I suggest everyone get the print one because not only does it feel more official, but EDGE magazine is such a great up and coming magazine with great stories for your coffee table.

Skye Townsend’s EP (VOMIT) has been on repeat all weekend. If you don’t have it yet, you definitely gotta go download it right now! Amazing. But until then, here’s her first video from Vomit… Enjoy!

PS. I also had the opportunity to work with her yesterday. She’s so great and such a beautiful person; Her energy is awesome and a joy to be around. Stay tuned for those photos!

If you are following me on Twitter (@BrittG_), you are probably aware that I shot with Reagan Gomez earlier this week for EDGE Magazine. If not, here are some behind the scenes photos from the shoot!

PS. Photos from the shoot made The YBF too! :)

Shoutout to EDGE Magazine! As you guys know, I love them and working with them is always a blast (make sure you check out my makeup tips under the lifestyle tab on their site)… but this week was nothing short of amazing as I got a chance to work on the set of their cover shoot with the beautiful LeToya Luckett!

Picking up where my mentor AJ Crimson left off (he’s a busy guy), this time I was able to get more hands on with touchups and helping preserve LeToya’s sexy throughout the shoot LOL… Great times! Things can only go up from here :)

So glad this finally dropped - This was the very first shoot that I assisted AJ Crimson (Celebrity Makeup Artist)! It was such an experience and great opportunity… and what’s even cooler is that I actually did the braid that is on the cover and one other picture from her spread lol!!! Ameriie was amazing! She’s so beautiful inside and out! I was already a fan, but working with her made me love her even more. :)

Anonymous asked:
What's the best way to cover dark circles under the eyes?

I would suggest getting a corrector to apply before your concealer. These have peachy undertones so they will neutralize the dark area before you apply a concealer that is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin/foundation; without it, you may get a lil ashiness/dullness going on lol (this is from applying a too light shade to a darker area)!

PS. Bobbi Brown makes a really good one in case you want to try this out!

Hope this helps! :-D

Product Review!
I’m completely in love with my Jack Black Lip Balm (Natural Mint & Shea Butter flavor). As I expected, it goes on thick, but not sticky, and tingly (from the mint), and keeps my lips hydrated/feeling like velvet for hours. Another thing that I love about it’s not too shiny so your guy won’t mind after a lil kissy kissy…. Love it! That is all!
PS. If you want to try this lip balm, you can find it at Sephora for about $7.50!
